Fall is the perfect time to run a half Marathon and the ideal place to do it is in the beautiful village of Ellicottville. The EVL Halloween Half will be a fun filled Halloween-themed event on Saturday Nov 1, 2014. The event will feature a Half Marathon, a 5K and a kid’s race. We encourage runners of all skill levels to join us! We have an event and distance for everyone! Participants are invited to run in costume and enjoy other Halloween related activities but this is by no means mandatory. There will be Age group and Costume awards given out! So what are you waiting for? Pick out a running costume and register to join us in Ellicottville for a weekend of Halloween fun!

Holiday Valley Resort, the Ellicottville Brewing Company and Southern Tier Brewery will host the 11th Annual Beer and Wine Festival at Holiday Valley’s Yodeler Lodge on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 3:30 to 7:30 PM. Guests will be able to sample a variety of hand-crafted beers from over 30 of the best New York State and American craft breweries and wines from New York, Southern Ontario and Ellicottville vintners.
Brewers include: Sierra Nevada, Magic Hat, Great Lakes, Erie Brewing, Saranac, Southern Tier, Ellicottville Brewing, John Harvard’s, Ithaca, Roerhbac, Woodchuck, Custom Beer Crafters, Butter Nutts, Original Sin Cider, Harpoon, Voodoo, Smutty Nose, Long Trail, Hebrew and Otter Creek…plus many more! “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” Ellicottville’s Christmas wonderland begins on Friday, November 28th, 2014. The Village of Ellicottville, often referred to as a Norman Rockwell painting in the making, will be the background for beautiful strolling choirs harmonizing all the favorite Christmas carols while the smell of hot chocolate and the decorated windows in this historic 19th century Village bring back thoughts of a Christmas past. As daylight comes to an end a spectacle unlike any other will appear as the village of Ellicottville comes to life in white Christmas lights and the three story tall Village Christmas tree is lit. Throughout the Friday, Saturday and Sunday event, activities will include Christmas carolers, a live reindeer, breakfast with Santa, horse and wagon rides, interactive children’s activities as well as Fire Truck rides with Santa. A schedule will be posted here closer to the date of the event.

Saturday December 6, 2014 experience a very unique, old fashioned holiday season celebration with the Christmas Stroll. There are many events throughout the afternoon including the arrival of Santa. The day concludes with a Living Nativity so authentic you’ll be amazed. Children of all ages love the live camel and the Reindog parade. March 14-15, 2015 enjoy this weekend packed full of fun with the Winter Carnival at Holiday Valley Resort which includes a costume parade down Mardi Gras and the infamous Dummy Downhill at the Yodler Lodge. The highlight of this fun filled weekend is the Saturday evening Mardi Gras Parade on Washington Street in the Village.
